We are back from our honeymoon and I am now officially a Long!!! We spent the first week of our marriage in Jamaica at Couples Swept Away, an all-inclusive resort in Negril. It was truly amazing. Although, I will say, I'm happy to be home.
Deciding to go to an all-inclusive resort was probably one of the best decisions we made. It was so so so nice to not have to shell out extra cash for excursions or food or anything. We were able to just have fun and enjoy time together with no distractions. We spent lots of time just relaxing on the beach, but we were also able to go snorkeling and kayaking and paddle boarding. Pretty much whenever we wanted.
It was perfect for us. There was a good variety of restaurants and things to do and at times, it felt like we were the only people at the whole resort!
At night, walking around the grounds, little crabs would cross our path!!
One of the excursions took us on a catamaran down the coast of the island to pirate caves! Then, they let us jump in and swim around the caves.
My favorite excursion was the glass-bottom boat! Our guide, jumped out of the boat, swam to the bottom and brought up two starfish for us to hold... then he posed for a picture.
PS. Don't worry, I'll eventually post some wedding pictures!! In the meantime, feel free to check out our hashtag: #averylongwedding
